Biography

 

Nico Williams is an Anishinaabe artist from Aamjiwnaang First Nation. His works include prints and contemporary geometric beaded sculptures. Williams is a graduate of the Print media department at Concordia University, Montreal (BFA, 2015). He has exhibited on a national and international scale with an upcoming solo exhibition at the Ojibwe Cultural Foundation August 17th 2017 Wikwemikong, Manitoulin Island, Ontario. He has also participated in various group exhibitions, the Contemporary Native Art Biennial, 3rd edition Culture Shift – Une révolution culturelle, Art Mûr, Montréal, Quebec (2016), Beadwork: Visions of Peace, Mapuche territory ,Victoria, Chile (2015), and Impressions Nordique, Atelier d’Ile, Val-David, Quebec.
